HP BBQ sauce

1 1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup white granulated sugar
2 Tbl yellow mustard
2 Tbl Worcestershire sauce
2 Tsp dried onion flakes or 1/2 Tsp onion powder
black pepper
Combine the above ingredients (along with salt and pepper to taste) into a non-reactive sauce pan. Bring to a boil and cut the heat to a slow simmer. Stir often. Reduce until relatively thick.

To spice-up the Q' sauce, float 1 whole, Habanero pepper in the sauce. Before serving, remove the pepper from the pan. This recipe was adapted from a once wildly popular dish, dubbed Hamburg Barbeque - which was served at a grammar school fair when I was a kid.
